Would you hunt for food if you had to?

I understand this is an outdoors post, and I assume many of you already partake in some form of hunting like deer, but I also understand some people don’t like hunting at all, so if you dont like hunting and you found yourself needing to, what would you do? Let pride eat you alive or kill an animal?

If it is a matter of survival - of course. But nowadays when you go shopping, I don't think you are pressured to buy animal products. Just brainwashed to do so.

I am strictly against hunting. But my survival instincts won't let me just die of hunger, so yes I will hunt if it comes to hunger.

On the moral side, yes, I would not enjoy taking life, but I would do it. On the practical side, I am not sure my skills would be enough to find and catch anything.

I'd hunt! Survival of the fittest. If you do it because you have to I think the earth was made that way. Lol, it does seem like everything eats each other to stay alive.

When you’re dying of hunger you would eat a dead body. It’s happened during times of war. When you’re starving to death your mind changes a lot. The ultimate moral law is survival. It is immoral to let yourself go hungry because this is directly going against your sacred life.

To be honest i wouldn't like at all hurt,torture or kill a animal, specially nowadays for survival, we aren't in the old times and theres more to survive than just kill to do so, unless your life or others depends on it (truly) i would rather learn to grow food to eat than hunt or kill, gotta learn to eat stuff that people just don't find appealing that nature offers or grow good things that truly we can and could to eat. but one thing for sure, can't deny that my system needs at least a certain portion of meat to go with my veggies,or at least that's what my violent instincts tell me,some steak or bacon sure are yummy,but not when it was a animal that you supposed to take care and loved. But hey any skill is good to learn specially for survival, but pulling the trigger is more easy than what actual knowledge can do to prosper and survive. And if i ever do, it would be fishing that i would choose, not that i would be good at it (probably would never catch a thing) but if i end up seeing a shark, that shark would seem very very tasty with some onions and garlic on the side so either he eats me or i eat him xD that would be truly a survival thing eat or be eaten 🤣 (edited)

I mean yeah I would try to hunt, but try is the key word as I most definitely am not a hunter, so the best thing would probably go bear grills style and eat ants, maggots and drink my pee... Probably...

Probably not. I'd try to find other things like plants, fruits, vegetables, etc. If that doesn't work out, then the pride will take over and I'll just die off slowly.

I frequently hunt for meat to supplement what I grow and my livestock produce, I also do my own butchering and will tan hides to make usable fur pelts

I wouldn't cuz I don't eat meat anyways, but hunting is WAY more moral and ethical than buying factory-farmed meat. If you bought your steak at a big supermarket, you can guarantee that cow had a horrific life. If you hunt a dear, at least that deer got to prance around happy most of its life.
