What should I do on this app?

Edit: I post this to the philosophy universe because I believe philosophy to be the community that I am most strongly attached to. But I will add a little philosophical element at the end to make it more relevant as well. This is such a random open ended question but I don't really know what I want to do here. This post is a model version of a myself and the problem of not knowing what to do in my life, and it helps me because I need to write down what those thoughts actually are. I’ve been on this app for over a year now, first downloading it because I really was just very alone. At that time my partner moved away for school, my friends were all so busy with life that we never really hung out, and being in college I got super distant from my busy family. All of this is fine, and I’m not upset with anyone for living their lives. If anything, I just wish I advocated more for my own social and connection needs. But alas, I downloaded Boo. It was great because it checked all the boxes I wanted from an app. I got to express myself the way I wanted, I got to see personality types I was familiar with like MBTI and Enneagram, and most of all, the connections I did make felt real. However, I almost exclusively used the matching function because posting for the whole app was scary. The internet is full of energy that it is always looking to release somewhere. Often in wholesome ways, but also often in terrible ways. I didn’t have the capacity for that risk at that time. Unfortunately this meant that my connections were and still are very rare. People have less to go off of and it's more of a risk to interact with me than the potential gain. I want to clarify, that is not a comment on how someone should just give me a chance. I appreciate the times that people have connected with me despite the fact that I could be anyone. I genuinely try to be a decent person and I think that I am generally successful at that, but there is no reason for anyone else to randomly also believe that without seeing me or the way I act. Thus, the fact that anyone takes the risk that I am a decent person is all the more reason why I am thankful they did. Though, it is unfortunately rare to match with anyone for those reasons and I am often disconnected. Thankfully I do have friends, a wonderful partner, and a great family. All of these things I am super grateful for but due to unfortunate circumstances they can’t meet my social needs right now. The majority of my friends and my partner are more than a state away as well as being busy with their education and careers, and my family is so disconnected from me that it can be hard to have meaningful interactions with them either. Thus, to seek out that connection that I want, I have decided to throw it at the universe. More specifically, I have decided to post it to the Boo universe and just hope that someone will see it in the never-ending sea of content. A message in a bottle, guided by fate, to make landfall where it ought. If I get a lot of hate for it, I suppose I’ll stop but I’m hoping to avoid that. If I get nothing, then this is just a public journal. I’m hoping though that, by doing this, I can make a connection with strangers who have similar thoughts or meaningful input and that would be cool. I plan to write and post more today, so this post doesn't have a topic of priority but it will do good as a message of intent for future messages. Looking forward to the outcome regardless! Edit 2: The promised philosophical element to this is a question, namely, do you believe in fate? (edited)

Well, with your words so well written I should think that all you really need is more exposure and that's gonna mean stepping out of your comfort zone. It seems like you've already made the decision to do so and if that's the case I support you in this! I too used to be terrified to take that chance and lay myself bare to a bunch of strangers but after taking the initial plunge and sticking to it I feel much better about it. To quote one of my favorite characters in fiction, "Don't believe in yourself! Believe in me! Believe in the Kamina who believes in you!" 😁
