Needy

Yeah, I'm needy. As in, I require more than just one minute of human interaction each day. But this agitates people, as they didn't sign up to see me for even one minute a day. That's too much of me for them. Am I really an introvert? Or do people force me to act introverted by punishing me for trying to be a part of their lives? It's an extremely common response, which has baffled me for years. How is it that everyone I meet manages to come to the exact same extreme conclusion about me before even trying to talk to me? I'm not sure I'll ever learn the answer. All I know is, I have an extremely basic need that most people I've seen, take for granted. As a result, my neediness has been left unaddressed for years. It would be super easy to fix, as all it would take is one person. One friend. That's all I've ever needed. But, there's nothing I can do to fix it myself. Friendship has always been at minimum a two way street. I cannot force people to be my friend. It is their choice, and everyone always makes the same choice when it comes to me. There isn't anything I can do about it. Which means I need someone else to help me. My need cannot be dealt with independently. I'm forced to rely on someone else. And that's a terrible way to live, because humans are Unreliable.
