Do you believe that consciousness existed outside the physical body? For example if your physically body died would your awareness still exist?

That's the concept of a soul. If you believe you have a soul then you theoretically can exist without a physical body. If you don't then i guess once you die...you seize to exist.

No. Just take Phineas Gage, for example. A rod went right through his head while working on a railroad in Cavedish, Vermont. His personality changed immediately. Thus proving that the brain is just as much an organ as any other in the human body. If it is tempered with, its functions will change.

Its scientifically proven even after being decapitated you are aware for 30 sec or so. They did a test where a guy got executed by guillotine and he responded by opening his eyes and staring 2× after a guy called out his name both times he reopened his eyes and stared at the doc calling his name directly in the eye. Just a fun little morbid fact there. It has been proven the that a persons body weight is 29g different after death so this may be the weigh of the soul? As for consciousness beyond death could be manifestation of the dmt your pineal gpand releases when you die. This accounts for the hovering above your body or out of body experience, on the same token how could we look at ourselves leaving our sensory organs behind and from a place we couldnt create POV for unless we were really above our body. There have been people fully aware of what went on around them a while after clinical death. Since my wife passed away on Halloween I have lost my skepticism of a life after honestly. I have had 3 strangely real visits from her in dreams and with how close we were if my mind was creating them they would be almost nightly i would think, plus the context of these dreams and our interaction was so profound its almost chilling to me. I could just feel her there and the dreams weren't angelic cliche ones either. I would go as far as to say they felt divine in meaning though. You can dm me if you want specifics.

Computer chips use transistors in a similar way that our brains use neurons. If our circuitry dies, so do we, and so does everything we were. You can either find that depressing, or all the more reason to value the time we have.
