Going back to leg press

I thought to try the Zercher squat to train quads because the leg extension machine has such poor ROM and not enough weight. But I didn't really feel my quads; only my brachioradialis becoming ground up! I think I'll go back to leg press with my feet at the very bottom of the foot plate....

Continue or discontinue leg press?

I don't think quad-biased leg press is even doing anything for my quads. I'm feeling my intracranial pressure about to burst more than anything. Do I have to lower the weight and press volume? I don't feel my quads but at least I'm loading the knee tendons and ligaments. Maybe I'll feel some DOMS later?

Build those drumsticks

Being tall it's definitely harder to build some of those quads I admire out there but I'm proud of the prices I've made.

Maybe it's not heavy enough? I'm wondering if my quads are doing the work? I'll wait for the DOMS verdict.

Maybe squatting once a week might grow these skinny legs of mine.

Right hip is sore, hardly generate any strength. So I couldn't increase the weight this time, I couldn't do more volume either. The quads are stimulated so differently when you squat and pause at the bottom, compared to the leg extension. I still wish for a flat bed leg extension though for full… read more

I've returned to quad biased leg press from leg extensions. The scissoring movement in a leg press is very different to the angular movement of the leg extension. Unfortunately my intraabdominal and intracranial pressure tolerance was reached early in the 5th set but I'll start from there next… (edited) read more

Hey any tips when it comes to gluten. Im broad shoulder n chested with some beefy legs. I feel like my hamstring and quads seem to takeover most the time when trying most glute based exercises.
