3 month rule = no sex, or close intimacy or established exclusivity until we've been dating for AT LEAST 3 months (my preference is 6). This gives time to learn WHO that person is, observe their actions, behaviours, intent and see who they REALLY are before becoming exclusive and then considering a relationship/sexual intimacy. It was about 5 months before my partner and I became exclusive. Values are aligned = I'm a healthcare scientist/woman in STEM, a feminist, I believe in free healthcare, a mental health advocate, I am pro choice, I support the LGBTQ+ community, And while I am in touch with my faith, I don't think religion should govern a country/state. If their beliefs dont align at this fundamental level there is major incompatibility. No kids/no big wedding = at most I wouldnt mind a small ceremony or elopement but I do not see kids in my future given my close-nit relationship with my family already caring for my ill parents and younger disabled brother, and I hate big weddings they unsettle me. I like the idea of marriage but its not a necessity. Must be comfortable with my multilinguistic background: I speak Gaidhlig, Scots and Scottish english sporadically throughout my life (family, friends, loved ones) if my partner dared tell me (can you only speak in english when im around, your heritage and identity make me uncomfortable) they arent for me and not smth i should accept in my life.
