I'm new to this app so I thought Id start with looking at the DnD world 👀

So.. what are people best campaign stories?

My group and I decided to go and raid a Goblin camp, you know... because one of us had set a forest on fire and we had lost all or money so ...why not? We all died. The goblins slaughtered us, plus the dragon. 
It was our third session. 😶

I was playing in a Dragonlance campaign turned Ravenloft. As a Kender thief, I was the only one unaffected by Nightmare rolls. 
Our Warrior was in the fedal position, while I was looking at painting which were bleeding as artwork, " I wonder if I can meet the artist, he does fantastic work! So lifelike! " 🤣

I brought an arctic druid with a pet penguin to a Curse of Strahd campain and won over every major city through the kids to a point where after clearing a druid bit of the camping they named me arch druid out of love. Horror campain my ass, Barovia conquered with a penguin

In my campaign, a warlock of a demigod did something that was strikingly similar to something his patron had done.  The crazy part is that I had the story in my head, but hadn't written it down or introduced that story to the party.  It wound up being introduced to the party through a bardic song written in honor of the heros victory.

One of my party members was okaying a Golem, pretty late into the campaign he had touched a permanent polymorphing potion that permanently changed him into a Triton (rolled from a random table I made)

Later he then pulled the card from the Deck of Many Things which teleports his body somewhere else and puts him to sleep while he is being guarded by an entity. I had him astral project his soul back to the party with the help of Bahamaut, who they’re trying to save.

Then later on he gets Peregrine boots and decides trying to go to space, i had to pull the different layers of atmosphere and got him to a point that sounded realistic before gravity would crush him as he tried leaving the planet’s gravity well then we had to calculate how fast he traveled and how much the planet had rotated since he left the ground.

finally he crash lands into a tribe of Lizardfolk and burns down part of their village from crashing. They attack him and kill him for appearing in his village

Following all the rules of the campaign setting, My level 12 Kenku Monk, "accidentally" killed Imyrith, the ancient blue dragon, from the Storm King's Thunder adventure.
I say accidentally because she moved super fast, and after using a potion of invulnerability and a potion of giant size, provided by the adventure guide,  she killed it in three rounds before the rest of the group caught up. 
Needless to say the other players were very angry that their characters didn't get to participate in the fight.
Also a lot of dice rolls had to be in her favour, which they were in this case.

I have a bunch but one of the more recent ones was that the four horsemen of the apocalypse were considered primordial beings in my friends world so they were basically demi gods that gained power by spreading their malus and our group accidentally summoned pestilence due to a immensely botched role and had the hardest fight of our lives. The party was a bard/dragon shaman, a war cleric of the god of death, a ranger, a druid/tamer of beasts, a blackguard/warlock, and a crusader. The entiee party was capable of buffing and healing so our party was really good at punching above our weight class and we poured everything we had into the fight to only have the crusader and cleric left standing by the end of it but barely standinf from taking con damage or suffering from various adverse diseases.

When fighting a Purple Worm the Barbarian decided to jump into the hole that the worm just dug to chase after it under ground. Btw i am the DM and the Barbarian 🤪

My first session as a DM, running a homebrew for two first time players. I had a young owlbear that they were supposed to fight for some XP. Instead the fighter rolled a nat 20 for animal handling and they tamed it. They still have it.

A few sessions later the same fighter rolled another nat 20 to break down a door, bypassing every puzzle and encounter I’d put in that location.
