Intolerance and shunning

People really dont like the idea of there being more than one form of human it seems. If you're autistic, they shut down. Its silence. As soon as anyone hears you speak about it, be honest and upfront... they shut you out as an outcast. They treat you like you shouldnt exist. For all their talk of acceptance and inclusion its all just meaningless words in the end. Ive seen no change in culture. They get annoyed unable to empathize. Which is crazy to me, because Ive been struggling hard to learn how typical people think and work, but those same folks couldnt be bothered to spend a minute trying to understand how i function. This is probably why a lot of autistics are cynical and misanthropic. To be quite frank, I dont think I care for the idea of dating a neurotypical based on how Ive been treated. Apparently it's taboo to tell people about your weird brain. Typicals just dont want to understand. Why? I dont know. Its just how they are i guess based on primal instincts as old as evolution. Id love to be wrong, but Im sure Ill be waiting for the rest of my life to have that disproven. (edited)
