Tears well up, thoughts wander free, A heavy heart, a soul's melancholy. Yet, a gentle smile, on lips does stay, A paradox of emotions, in a fragile way.

A heavy heart beats, beneath a smiling face, Tears well up, in a secret, hidden place. What kind of pain, can bring such a test? A heart that's hurting, and still finds rest.

A heart that's numbing, a soul that's worn, I've buried the pain, and the tears that are born. I say nothing, I feel nothing, it's true, For in silence, I've found a way to see this through.

We often draw lines, man and woman apart, But loyalty's true test lies in the heart. A battle rages, love versus lust's desire, And often, it's the flames of lust that burn like fire.
