I try to articulate how much I appreciate someone when they treat me right. In their DMs at first, but if the behavior continues, I have difficulty containing myself about being expressive to the community about it. I enjoy giving due credit to good people. I mean sure it's probably old news now but when I first returned here I felt so happy and genuinely cared about -- that it was too good to be true. I had to shove her away and introvert recharge myself... (yes I do it too) and grew suspicious because nobody I know is ever that nice for no reason. I thought it was a trick. Then she didn't come back. I was undeterred but as time progressed, I was crestfallen. Then a different behavior pattern emerged from the subject. So I mirrored the behavior. At this point, I thought I was playing social chess with them or something. How was I to know? I'm reacting. Finally, I realized that they never really cared. They were just using me to feel better about themself. Justification. This prompted me to reevaluate my profile and revisions were made. Now? My compliments must be earned. I am still a Jedi, and my encouragement will never cease, however I'm not going to give out my social energy to ungrateful recipients. 😤 you can thank the monster infj that hides under my bed for that. ...I still can't sleep good now because of it.
