Since using Boo, I have had a number of people find my profile and match with me, just to never actually hear from them. Is this pretty common for everyone else? And a question to the ladies, do you expect a man to message you first if you sent him a match request? If I send a request, I will follow with a message if/when they accept it. So from my perspective this is odd, as they proclaimed interest in me by sending the match anyways. Best as i can tell, the burden should be on her to "sell herself" on me so to speak, and not the other way around. But I want to hear the ladies opinions, who is responsible for initiating in this situation? (edited)

I don't think many people read profiles to really get an idea of what the other person is like & just go off looks instead. Then they feel bad because they already matched with the person so they just let all their messages sit. If they change their mind for whatever reason, they still have the option to message you. However, personally, I'm at a point in my life where I finally know what I want in a man & am being strict on who I match with. Im a shy & quiet type of person & I feel like Im always the one running after men, rather than being chased. Therefore, I let the man take control of the conversation all around. Also, a lot of people don't have their location settings turned on & that can make it difficult for me to want to match with someone for 2 reasons: 1. Depending on where they live, we may never meet face to face & would be a waste of time getting close to them on here. 2. They could be hiding their location in fear of someone finding their profile (like a significant other; AKA - cheaters).
