Weight loss target

I am currently struggling with hypertension. The doctor wants me to lose 75 pounds. I am wondering if this goal can be met by sometime in September or October. How much should I eat daily in order to get this done? Is this a healthy expectation?

Please refer to a dietician for an appropriate meal planning. It can be dangerous to embark on this on your own.

I was put on blood pressure meds last year and I did my best to drop some weight to be a bit healthier. I dropped 40lbs from Feb to May. The first 10-15 were easy. I cut out sodas and switched to zero sugar green teas. I cut the carbs out almost completely for a couple weeks doing keto and intermittent fasting only eating from 12pm to 9 pm. After that I added back in a few potatoes/rice in small amounts because my willpower was lacking lol there is only so much you can stand to eat roast chicken and veggie sticks before you go insane. I still do the intermittent fasting but keeping up with keto is soup crushing

The easiest way to loose weight is to work out and build muscle. Muscle burns calories while you sleep. As for food, as long as you focus on getting a calorie deficit you will be garanteed to loose weight. My advice would be to focus on stuff with protein, fiber, calcium, and potassium. If you can do these 3 things, weight loss will be easy.

use cronometer app to track how much you usually eat. count everything: alcohol has calories so as sauces. you can safely reduce daily amount of calories you usually eat by 20% percent without adverse health effects and energy loss. I would say generally it is about 400-600 kcal. you can go more aggressively too if you want to. Replace some meals with healthier options. Avoid process highly process foods and choose more nutritional options. Be consistent.
