I need advice (updated)
Thank you everyone for the advice. I'm not a vindictive person so no worries there. And I appreciate the different inputs. I'll go from here and grow on my own and see of maybe we can come to an agreement about some child support. Thank you again ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I need advice. I have this ex fiancée who shares a child with me. We've been together for almost 5 years and have a 3 year old son together. He recently broke up with me and won his lawsuit he had been battling for years. Buttttttt.... He got a new girlfriend really fast and he's already saying he loves her and all this stuff. He'd rather spend time with her over taking his son to school. And I just dont understand the logic. So now he's moving out, buying a brand new house, starting this new life. And he's leaving me in the trailer we bought together. And I like this trailer, but it's falling apart. The floors are falling through and the walls need work. It's old. Very old. And he promised me he'd help me fix the floors and now he won't. Said it's not worth putting money into, but I can't afford an apartment or a house on my own. I'm trying and I'm trying to fix my car and get other things done but it's really hard right now. And now he's being super rude to me and snapping at me for stupid stuff. He is retired because of his lawsuit and I get it, but when I come home I still have to be a parent. And he doesn't have to be. And it's draining me. And now he won't even help me with simple dog food. I told him I didn't want child support because he does go out and buy everything our son needs. But hes breaking promises and now I have a feeling he had been cheating on me with this girl for a long time. Should I just suffer in silence and just try to just do it myself? My family thinks I should lawyer up and try to get support every month. But I had said I didn't want it. I just feel lost and hurt. I moved here for him, across country away from my family so we could be with his family. And now I have no one. I don't know what to do. Sorry, end of rant. I need unbiased opinions. (edited)

The only thing he's obligated to do is take care of his kid. Everything else, even if he said he would, he obviously isn't going to do so that falls on you. All can do is take him to court for child support but that could also end up blowing up in your face depending on how much he spends now vs how much he makes & what the court can legally hold him responsible for, especially if he's retired.

Sadly to read it but Go for child support, it's your kids right to have it. As some people stated, you don't need to like it, think about your kid.. I'm a dad myself, my baby girl lives with her mom but sifferyfrom this one I do all that I can to be pet of her life (my daughter).. she is the most important person in the world for me as you'd kid should be for you..
