Today marks 8.5 years since I was dating my ex-fiancee. Here are some gems from this time: 1. Not treated like an object 2. Not being accused of things I didn't do 3. Not being screamed at to take care of all of our expenses because she didn't want to work or get government aid. 4. Not being accused of cheating with every foreigner because I speak some Korean and listen to Korean music. 5. Not being driven away from my family because they were inconveniently sane and logical. 6. Not being told story after story of completely made up nonsense. 7. Not having to worry about where she got all those guns and drugs. 8. Not being assaulted and later apologized to for the assault, rinse and repeat 10000 times. 9. Not having to hear her parents try to convince me to leave her 10. Not having to hear my mom complain about the fiancee calling her while really high, to try to get mom to make me forgive her for whatever cheating, assault, or abuse the fiancee did that day. 11. Not having to worry about the fiancee jumping out of the car while it's moving. 12. Not having my friends driven away -- they're all long gone! 13. Not having my social, messages, and phone looked through every time I come home. 14. Not having to worry about getting an STD from her cheating. 15. Not having to cover blown tires, busted wheels, and other expenses from the fiancee driving off the road while high. It's been a long and lonely road, but I'm still loving the freedom. Hurray!
