I've actually only dated a few men older than me. I usually find them to be way too serious for me. Here is my experience. Older men take work and life responsibilities serious which is great and of course expected, however for me the problem arises when most of them lack the desire for simple life adventures, traveling, going out, being spontaneous... etc. They don't like to lose or take risks, I understand this in business, but not anywhere else. Nothing in life is guaranteed and life is short. Do you date them? Why are you attracted to older men? What's your experience with them? I kinda stick to roughly five years either side of my age. I have found anything more your at separate stages of life with totally different life expectancies and experiences. I am 35, I want to settle down and have my own family and focus on loving them. A woman in her 20s is more likely to still be career driven, wanting to explore the world, still learning her place. Unnecessary sacrifices would need to be made for the relationship to be attempted and then would most likely fail.

I think it is very difficult to find a general answer to your question. It is very individual on both sides of the relationship. There is a certain period of age, for argument sake 25 to 45yrs, where the differences in age may be largely neglected if both partners fall into this range. If one of the partners is outside, then the relationship is likely to be biased toward young body/spirit on one side and the experience/wealth on the other. At the end of the day, if individual needs are largely fulfilled on both sides, then the age is really irrelevant. But one should not disregard the environment which if filled with prejudice, can massively influence the relationship as well.

I have a recommendation... If you pay for all the activities, bills for the older guy, and other expenses... you might find that the older men start to liven up. If they have less responsibilities I'm certain a good number of them will liven up. I'm a bit different. I used to be rich but after a very damaging divorce and the next girlfriend who basically kept EVERYTHING of mine, I just enjoy what I can. My goals to own a house once again sometimes limit what I spend on dates and vacations but I still travel more than the vast majority of people. And I like creative and spontaneous women because it's a nice experience being with someone who doesn't expect me to plan all our activities 👍
