1yCherryPlum Jam, Batch Two
Made a second batch of CherryPlum Jam from the foraged fruit of the wild CherryPlum trees near where I live. Recent strong winds must have damaged one of the 6 CherryPlum trees that I've found, as there was a lot of fruit on the ground, and one tree had been completely cut back to stumps. It was a tree that overhang a footpath, so maybe it was done for the safety of passersby. It's just a shame as it was one of the most fruit laden. There will most likely be more trees deeper into the little copse of trees, but I haven't needed to investigate that far yet. Anyway, I think I have way more CherryPlum Jam than I'll probably need throughout the next few months, so I'll leave the rest for other foragers and the local wildlife. Plus, Im still waiting for the CrabApples and Blackberries to ripen, so I can make some CrabApple Jelly and CrabApple and Blackberry Jam.
