So we all have things that we're knowledgeable on, like skills or subjects etc, but the ones that get a lot of chatter are ones that are common or popular. So, let's give the unique, hyper-specific, all the way to the downright bizarre knowledge-holders a chance to gush over their strangest bit of trivia and facts. I will start while also admitting that my niche isn't on the darker end of the spectrum. Pretty basic but still unusual enough to be interesting (hopefully). I am an armchair scholar on all things relevant to the lore of "Beauty and the Beast", (and yes, the animated Disney version is far superior to the live action) or "La Belle et Le Beté" if I want to sound pretentious. Anyway, the fascinating and old-as-ballrooms tale of a maiden wedded off to a man under a monstrous curse healed through love... Yeah, that's my jimjam. Also, it's one of few of my areas of interest where I would absolutely throw hands. I could be at a writing symposium having an academic discussion that brings up 'Beauty and the Beast' and the instant I hear a bad Tumblr take like "It glorifies Stockholm Syndrome!", the earrings are coming out, the heels are kicked off, and the power of being 5'5" with enough rage packed in to power fighting God is unleashed. Right, went off on a little brain detour there. Sorry about that. But I'm back on track now! So, without further adeiu, let's talk about our niches and maybe learn something (like to not scare people off talking about you rage-fighting God over a bad take...)
