Did anyone else join Boo looking for other people and realized they actually needed to find themselves?

I came here looking for local friends but realized I'm not ready to put the work into making new friends. In fact, I've realized what I needed more than anything was to become happy with my own company. Anyone relate?

Yes! I have found maybe two people here who are worth checking in with. And I like the community feature but somedays I think this app can be tedious. It just makes me realize I have really good friends and so many people lack that. A small number but quality and I really have a lot of work to do in learning how to maintain relationships better and appreciate the people I already have. It's also made me take note of how I approach everyday interactions and whether I am good at handling the negative in a more positive way. (edited)

I felt this way about a year ago. It's amazing how we can feel as though we need the companionship of others because it's such a human need. That's why they say being alone is so powerful, because it is so difficult. But when you spend that time alone, you learn so much about yourself (and others.) I hope that the time you spend on yourself is, has been and will be amazing because it can be the most rewarding. (edited)
