Occult Horror movies vs Reality

I love horror movies, but as a spiritual person who has studied the occult, they are the reason why religious people hate us. Movies like The Conjuring The Devil Made Me Do It and any others that include magick practitioners are entertaining but entirely inaccurate. Religious people are taught not to research or learn anything that might cause them to think outside of their religion and the only knowledge they have of occult practices are from movies and media. I know that this seems like I'm taking things too seriously, but this propaganda has been used to justify a lot of wrongs being done against spiritual people by the overly religious. I've seen people like me beaten, kicked out of their homes, lose jobs, have their property destroyed and even lose their lives because the media teaches the overly religious people that we deserve it. Supposed good Christians have sent death threats quoting lines from films. I love horror movies, especially paranormal horror, I just wish we had more spiritual led movies and films without the Christian and religious misinformation.

I used to love horror movies, but have steered away from him over the past decade. For one thing, Hollywood has gone downhill in terms of making quality horror. But, as someone who does want to follow Christ, I have to watch what I allow into my life. In terms of music, movies, books and games. You know the old saying, that the eyes are the windows to the soul. Well that applies. I don't want to dabble with anything that deals with the occult or any form of witchcraft and devilry. I've dabbled with that stuff in the past, in my early twenties, and there's a reason I don't mess around that stuff anymore. Also, look at what is being promoted in the world today, through media. Music has become increasingly angry, vulgar and violent. And the youth that is growing up listening to this stuff thanks that it's cool, and want to emulate that. Look at the movies nowadays and what they're promoting. Movies are becoming more violent and gory, and dark in general. Again, I used to love all that stuff supernatural horror movies, like The grudge series, A nightmare on elm Street, and anything related to ghosts and whatnot. And I like gory movies, like the Saw series. But yes I have to definitely agree nowadays especially, that Christians should avoid that stuff. God's word even tells us to avoid such things and to think and dwell on whatever is uplifting, beautiful, righteous, etc. Yes, I understand that not everyone is a follower of Christ, and people believe differently than I. I'm just saying. Also, it's true, that horror movies don't do a good job of having any good form of resolution. They always portray Christianity in the worst light, usually through Catholicism. Somehow, only the Catholic church is able to banish evil (I'm not Catholic, btw).🙄 I wish they would do away with that aspect, and cliche trope. However, I also get tired of seeing movies where us average humans can do it of our own strength. Like the movie The end of Days, with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Somehow, he thwarted the devil and avoided the Apocalypse. The same with the devil's advocate, with Keanu Reeves. Those are older movies, but those are the first ones that popped in mind. So it's a tough one. On one hand, they're completely misusing Christianity, and also rely on the strength and ability of me or humans, regardless of if there's a religious aspect or not. So, and that regard, if I were to ever watch anything related to horror again, it will not be supernatural in nature. It would be something like The Thing, where some kind of alien or mutant monster. Then that would avoid many of the above complaints. Lol But it'd be safer to just avoid horror, altogether.
