How would you feel if I thoroughly cleaned up and rearranged your space, when you weren't there?
As a friend, I am not judging and have come from worse...they know. That's why they don't mind inviting me over...but I still am extremely OCD.. I have been looking for maid help, since I'm only here for a day, I was wondering if I could get someone to help me for an hour or two, at most. I just need this area sorted, for my girl. Thing is her dad used to do Handyman jobs.. he's not too good.. not lately.. So she's waiting on professional help..but I still want it maintained for her.. She literally cleaned up the room I was to stay in, for me..but she doesn't have the time to do it all.. I think I need to go in with the hard hitting emotional questions..I just don't know how to approach it. This is a vulnerable place. If I had another day, I'd have bought the tools and turned this place upside down.. done it before, for family and friends.. I only have one day.. I don't know what to do. (edited)

I personally don't like people touching my stuff. I also don't like people rearranging things. One might think that in their "proper place" they'll be easier to find, but I have a system within my mess. I know where things are, I know what is clean and what needs to be washed, I know the pile on my chair and I know how to navigate in it. I think I'd appreciate a vacuuming and dusting but moving things around is a no no and I also generally feel uncomfortable with people snooping around my things. So the best bet is to ask your friend and if they say they'd like that, do it, and they will be happy, grateful and everything will go well, but do not touch people's things without asking.

I love building and displaying Lego sets and i also enjoy collecting Skylanders figure but the price of each means that there's. Usually quite a bit of time before I add more legos or figures
