The Dinner - Chapter 2

Title: The Dinner - Chapter 2 Year: 2019 Size: 9x12 inch Media: watercolor and pencil sketch I did this while living in San Francisco, inspired by my all-time favorite movie, “About Time,” and my life experience. Here is chapter 2, and a different person. The story(poetry) behind this painting: In shadows cast by candlelight’s glow, She, elegant and mysterious, does show. Through strands of hair, her fingers weave, A tale of the day, a story to conceive. No grand adventure, no epic quest, Yet her voice, a melody, at its best. Dinner unfolds, a shared repast, Her smile, a spell, enchanting and vast. The waiter interrupts with dishes adorned, A pause in the tale, momentarily torn. With poetic prose, she delves into the feast, Colors and flavors, a culinary feast. His attention captured, a moment so divine, In her descriptions, flavors intertwine. Yet, a sudden hush, her tearful grace, A dish, a memory of a distant place. Her cheek finds rest upon her hand, Crying echoes through the restaurant land. He, a stranger, now her soothing balm, Far from home, sharing a similar calm. In shared silence, emotions converse, Two souls connected, no need to rehearse. Different tongues, a language of the heart, From distant lands, but not apart. Their stories entwine, a tapestry spun, Life’s pursuit, a journey begun. Elegance and mystery, a shared refrain, In the poetry of moments, a sweet memory gain. #poetry #romance #watercolor #art #painting #watercolorpainting #drawing #artist #illustration #artwork #sketch #artistsoninstagram #watercolorart #watercolor #aquarelle #sketchbook #artoftheday #instaart #draw #paint #ink #arte #acuarela #portrait #watercolorillustration #love #creative #watercolors #color #contemporaryart (edited)
