Speaking personally I use it to set clear boundaries of what I want/don't want. I think knowing intentions are important, especially on a site like this where people use it for varying reasons. It's easier to connect (or not) once you know what boundary you're interacting with. (edited)

Write what you like about yourself but also roast yourself with your flaws , shows your humble by accepting then and also have a sense of humor.

I guess the best way to write it is by typing it out, or using speech to text 😌 in all seriousness though, clear intent and just being genuine about your hobbies, personality, and interests is what catches my eye when I read bios, along with humor

I prefer a straight-to-the-point, honest intro with hints of humor. Likes and dislikes, what they're looking for their next relationship, etc. Doesn't have to be a novella.

Just be honest and express yourself

However you want so people know the real you. If you write it based on how someone else thinks you should, it wouldn't be authentic. If they don't like how your bio is written, they don't like you.

Describe who you are and what you are look for. If they know that then you won't waste any time.

I just start off with things that I'm passionate about, and let it flow from there about things I don't like. I don't know why people think that writing about the self is such a gigantic task.

Be true to your self and everyone else. Dont try to be funny if you really arnt. But hit on some key moments in your life that makes you sound interesting
