Didn’t know this was a thing until a couple months ago. It explains so much about my decision making growing up though. When people said they could picture things, smells, taste, etc. I assumed it was metaphorical not literal since I couldn’t and didn’t know I was different

Aphantasia

Does anyone else have aphantasia? And for the people who don't have it aphantasia is the inability to form mental images, or "see" things in one's mind's eye, and is a neurological characteristic, not a disorder or disability.
