3 Things that should be Mutual

Comfort: a majority of women do not ask men if they're comfortable with things, or with specific plans. Comfort is not just for women and empathy is for everyone. We should both be working equally hard to ensure the other one is comfortable. Consent: Good man ask for consent. I personally ask for consent with everything from a goodbye hug, the other things even when in a relationship. But only once in my life have I ever met a woman amazing enough to ask me if I was okay, as ME for MY consent. Which as one of many male SA Survivors of Woman was important to me. There's an understanding that men must always ask for consent, we should be teaching everyone especially women consent it would have saved me a lot of trauma. More Women should ask men for consent because it creates a mutual sense of autonomy and respect. Empathy Towards Vulnerability: Vulnerability should not be seen as a turnoff, if you see that as a turnoff you really really need to work on yourself. Vulnerability should not be seen as a weakness and once again if you see it as a weakness you really really need to work on yourself. Some of you would rather have a man punching you in the face, and curled up in your arms crying because they trust you enough to open up to you. Quite frankly that's disgusting. And I am not ashamed to say it. In a relationship you should be able to display empathy and regulate your emotions, therapy helps as we all have our own baggage or trauma but the ability for your partner to be able to cry on your shoulder or on your chest regardless of your gender, or orientation should be seen by YOU as the HIGHEST HONOR. Way too many women have seen my vulnerability and mistreated me because of it, I'm a disabled autistic boy of course I'm going to be honest about my feelings if something hurts me. But here's the thing ladies and gentlemen, and this one's for both of you, if they mistreat you in the state of vulnerability and meet it with anything other than kindness and nurturing then they do not deserve you. There's nothing weak or bad or pathetic about your tears, or your need for warmth. Basic developmental psychology teaches us that those connections and moments of vulnerability are what strengthens relationships. Now don't put any hateful bs in my comments. I said what I said.
