Why is this such a thing now?! Can't you just be straight with someone and tell them you don't want to talk anymore? It's not that hard, well maybe for some but like come on. It can hurt people if you're sitting there vibing and connecting, only to stop talking. Makes you wonder what happened or what you did.

Ghosting is deserved sometimes. Personal, I’m happy when I ghost someone. I only ghost someone if they’re wasting my time and Being manipulative. A lot better of people will claim to be interested. But not put any effort in. People fail to realize that it takes Effort to make a relationship work. Most people rather just answer someone instead of. Contribute to the conversation. So I’m t I’m putting in effort to get to know someone and they just answer me without adding to the conversation, thru don’t deserve to keep talking to me. It’s really manipulative to claim to be interested in someone, then give short replies or not show effort. Making someone thing they’re interested, then not showing they’re interested is toxic. Isn't it natural for that to happen so often though? We try to find connection through these apps where minimal effort is involved. Maybe people start to feel that everything has to be easy. Having a hard conversation is... well... hard. Not doing anything (replying) is literally the easiest thing to do. In any case, don't take it so personal. Yes, it hurts, but the person doing it is living by some pretty bad values, and thus they probably suffering more than you think. The values you live by and the actions you perform upon them end up shaping the way you see the world. (If you are kind, you tend to see more kindness, and so on...). So, in this case, a person who has an utilitarian view of others probably feels like an object themselves

I get that. Honestly it is lame. If a conversation goes to a standstill without any word, or response to your message, I honestly feel they aren't interested and i don't message until they are ready sometimes. One time, I asked a question and they didn't respond for 4 weeks. I usually think well...maybe they are shy or like me don't know how to start the convo or maybe our convo was boring or something? Either way i just rid those thoughts and I don't think about it until I get a messge from them. Ghosting is a problem tho Its fake. Unfortunately I would do it too sometimes cause of my social anxiety and I hate that its become a habit so id be no different in the recipients eyes, but ghosting is stupid 😅 (edited)
