INFJ’s, what helps you sleep? Have you found something to calm the restless thoughts? Concerns? The ambition to learn/lookup that “one more” fleeting thing before letting go of your phone… any tips, to quiet the voices?

I try to read before bed, but my trick is that the moment I think oh, I'm tired, I turn everything off and let that happen. (edited)

Here are my two cents, if you have the capacity just let it all go. Neither try to capture these thoughts nor keep them out. Much like a breeze blowing through the leaves, it will disturb them for a moment but once that thought has past things will come back to a restful state. Another thing is to make one physically tired, the more tired the better without hurting oneself. Emotionally tired works as well bit physical tiredness can lead to less unwanted things. If you want something super tiring I Suggest digging. You never realize how hard it is to move soil till you do it. The third thing I can suggest is putting these voices to a physical form. Or in other words get them out of your head by putting them else where. When I find my head buzzing with thoughts, it turns out that while there are a couple bees in there most of the commotion is from them bouncing around, not volume persay. So find your favorite way to record your thoughts, (I prefer a typewriter) and do so as needed. Even if you don't enact on your thoughts the mere act of putting them down takes away a lot of the "oh I got to remeber" aspect and let's you focus on other things, like sleep. And my last peace of advice is to be kind to yourself. I find it easy to berate one's self for something you feel you should be doing. But it is easy to get in a cycle of stress because you can't sleep but you can't sleep because your stressed. Insomnia is normal, you aren't a bad person for having it. Let yourself be human with all the love and compassion you can muster. Hope this helps, I too have had my share of sleepless nights. It happens, just keep trying and experimenting, you will find what works for you, and I commend you for asking for advice. Wishing you all the best, Mouse 🐁 Tldr; melatonin has worked for me, but I know it is not for everyone but it can help build a circadian rhythm. And if it really bothers you and you can afford it, it might be worth while talking to a health care professional. Just my 1/2 a cent more. Hopefully sweet dreams

I start by breathing a few times lying down. Then I imagine my brain an unorganized database and I rearrange it. Before I know it I wake up from my alarm. It's different for everyone, good luck!

I try to lie down a little while before I need to sleep ... and keep a notepad and pen next to my bed ... in case my brain needs time to unwind. Best Wishes!

It occurs to me sometimes and I give myself enough time for to clear out the stuff in my mind. Then eventually I get back to my normal routined sleep in a few days naturally.

Turn off screens hour before bed, use white noise (rain music, fan), L-Tryptophan is a good natural supplement for sleep for me. For anxiety try meditation, light physical activity before bed and stretching, journal try to write out your thoughts
