I just had my first session with a client. It was my colleague who was having trouble sleeping due to anxiety. It went really well. This experience showed me that becoming a psychologist was the right decision😁

If no one remembers your existence, did you ever truly exist?

So I got this message from this "man" who said I was pretty and wanted to get to know me.

He said dm me because I got no coins. I did.

First thing he said is "I've been alone for an entire year and I am tired. I am a serious relationship, want kids and a family", OK cool.

I said, you do not seem ready for a relationship, you sound desperate and I don't think you are coming from a healthy place.

He said I'm ready and I said ok, let's talk.

I did add however "I don't want kids and I am no traditional woman" to what he asked why.

I said "they are a burden (to my goals, not life itself, not them persé), they are expensive, there are no jobs, the economy is hell, I don't need my face in a smaller body and people is nasty. If anything, I'd adopt but not necessarily a baby" and so he said "what about people who have kids?" to what I answer "I have no opinion about them, everyone can do what makes them happy and I'm sure there are planty of wonderful parents out there".

To what he said "Ok, I advise you to put at least one child into your priority list"

???????

I said "No advise, thanks. My choice is made."

And then he goes "remember that you were also a child and taken care by your parents!"

No, you idiot, I was not. And I do not have the responsibility to become a parent just because I was once a child. WTF.

Can someone give me some perspective?
Like, I understand this man wants a family and all but just because he liked my face I suddenly need to drop everything and breed and do emotional labor for him?
Wtf, what am I missing?

My point exactly: people is nasty. So entitled to idiocy.
