Veni. Vidi. Amavi.

The world is full of mysteries, and ghosts exist, the same as the demons and angels but do love really can travel through two hearts that are torn apart? Heavy rains, lightning, and thunderstorm strike outside my window. I can hear a footstep coming from the stairs, I bravely walked slowly through the hallway and passes my mom’s room. She is not at home yet. Perhaps, she was with her co-workers again. I looked at the stairs and no one is around. Suddenly, I heard a whisper in my left ear. “Razi…” Scared, I slowly turned my head around and I see nothing. I felt my heart beats heavily. My knees start to tremble but I still pretend to ignore it and think that it was just all my imagination but once again, I heard the voice. “Razi…” I quickly run back to my room. Locked the door and jumped into my bed. I pulled my blanket and covered it all over my body and I figured out a shadow standing next to my bed. I freaked out and shut my eyes but I'm still practically awaked trying to get sleep. “Who are you? Stop this nonsense! Get the hell out of here,” I shouted. My eyes start to shriek—my body's trembling. I can feel something cold – unusual cold. “Lord, please help me. Save me,” I cried and prayed and, at that moment, I felt something, someone beside me. I felt a hand – a very cold hand touched my face and wiped away my tears. Still, no one was there, just the feeling that is familiar to me but I can't remember how it happened. ∞∞∞ I was there, calling her name but she couldn’t see me. I saw her, scared of me – my presence. She cried and called Him to save her, that tends my heart to break. “Can’t you feel me, Razi? I am here beside you. It’s me Wine. Don't you remember me?” But still, there's no response from her. You are quietly sleeping by now. I have no intention to scare you but I can’t help to stop seeing you. You are everything to me. You are the reason why I am still here. The clock's ticking up until the morning. You are now awake. The way you act now seems like nothing happened last night. It seems that it was just like a bad dream. The shiver in your body fades. The mark of your tears vanished. Everything is usual. I can see you smile again and once again, all over again, that makes my heart happy. ∞∞∞ Walking through the hallway of our school with my earphone plugged into my ears. I heard a whisper but I just ignored it. It was just my imagination. “Hey! Razi, are you done with your homework?” Lucy asked. I screamed as I remember that I forgot to bring my homework. The creepy sounds in the house really disturb me a lot. I swiftly ran to my locker and opened it and it surprises me that my books were there. I felt relieved and scared at the same time. How was that possible? I am a hundred percent sure that I left it at home but, never mind. I closed the locker and felt a cold wind touches my skin. I looked around but no one is there. I am scared. Is there really a ghost? Time passed quickly; class dismissed. I went to my locker and found a letter inside. I miss you, Razi. I looked around but no one was there until I heard a footstep coming next to my right side. I turned my head to the right but I see nothing. My knees began to tremble again as I hear the footsteps coming closer and closer and then stopped right in front of me. “Razi…” My eyes widened as I heard someone calls my name. A voice of a man. No one was around. I am alone. Goosebumps struck and when I heard the next words that he says, I ran. “I miss you!” ∞∞∞ She forgot her homework. Is it because of me? I brought it and put it in her locker. At last, she’s here. I can see her smile again but at the same time, I saw she was uneasy. I hug her so she can feel my presence but what I felt is her body shaking and then she left. I left a note in her locker. I want her to remember me. I want her to say that she misses me too. I really miss her. She’s here now in front of her locker. I tried my best to speak and let her hear me but she can’t see me. She looked around and saw no one. I saw her knees shaking. She is sweating. She hugged herself and then finally I voiced out how much I miss her so bad but what I get in return, as I expected, she ran. ∞∞∞ At last, I’m home. I quickly went to my room and cover myself with a blanket. I feel sick and cold. I heard the door open. I can clearly see a shadow, a figure of someone walking closer to me. The shadow stops beside me. Sits on the side of the bed. I am scared. I wanted to scream. I wanted to shout but my mouth doesn't release any noise. My eyes tear down again. I don’t know what to do. I felt haunted. I am so afraid. Am I dying? Is he after my soul? And then finally that shadow uncovers the blanket on my face, it was mom. I hugged her tight and started to cry out loud. I felt helpless a while ago but now I felt secure. My Mom is here now. No need to be scared. She will protect me; I know she will. “Hi Razi,” a guy asked. “Who are you? How did you know my name?” I asked. “It’s me Wine. Don’t you remember me?” I shook my head and faked a smile. “It’s been a while since we hugged each other. I miss you so much. We used to play video games, play the piano together, sleep together, take a bath together,” he explained. I felt my face turn red as I heard what he said. “Did you see me naked?” I asked. “Yes,” he smiled widely. “I don’t remember you. Do I really know you? Why can’t I remember you?” I asked curiously. “I don’t know the answer either. All I know is that I came, I saw, I loved.” As I opened my eyes, I saw someone touching my forehead. His hand was cold as ice. That face was familiar. The feeling was familiar. My sight was blurry. He smiled at me and I smiled back. I felt his lips touch my forehead and then my eyes shut to sleep again. ∞∞∞ You were the same Razi that I know, the one that needs protection, the one who always feel unsafe. But now I cannot protect you. I can’t even help you with the stress that I gave you. I am sorry. I should've not bothered you in the first place. You opened your eyes and stared at me. I smile; you smile back and then close your eyes again. I kiss your forehead and I feel your hot temperature. You are really sick. You have a high fever. How I wish you’ll be fine soon. “Get well soon, Razi…” ∞∞∞ I woke up just fine. As if nothing happens last night. I still feel the touch of his lips on my forehead. I still feel the coldness of his breath. “I came. I saw. I loved.” Words still echo in my mind. I looked outside the window and saw a tree. I hold my chest when I felt a heavy burden. Not in my usual self, I walked and went outside the house. I looked at the tree and freeze there for a minute. I touch its body and feel the warmth. I look at my barefoot when I felt uneasy. Something that I feel I forgot. I sit and touch the ground. Not my usual self, I dig and dig until I touch something – a box. I opened it and saw a piece of paper. Written on it, “We came. We saw. We loved.” Tears start to rush down my face as I remember the feeling of being in love. Memories don’t fade. Feelings will never disappear. I clench my fist and put it on my chest. I remember now what the feeling that I forgot is. I remember now what the feeling of being incomplete without you is. It was Friday evening. Heavy rains and thunderstorms. Holding his hand and singing in unison. A truck came rushing by. Screeching sound of the breaks. The sound of a loud collision and everything went black. I woke up in the hospital. Sleeping there for 3 months. I don’t remember anything, only the feeling that something was missing – a feeling that I can’t remember. ∞∞∞ Sitting beside you was the best feeling ever but I knew I can’t stay any longer. But please one last time I need to hug and feel you so close to me. Teary-eyed you looked at me. I felt your skin touches mine; you hugged me tight and for the last time, I clearly hear you say, “I love you.” End
