New to public gyms....

Any advice for me, I'm moving soon and might need to get a gym membership. I'm mostly interested in using doing bench press and deadlifts( but started slow with low weights) I'm nervous about people criticism my form or me in general. Or just, social interaction in general. But I have been really enjoying my workout progress so far. And want to keep it up. Despite not having access to an Olympic bar and bench at home anymore.

Honestly just do what u gotta do people are there to work out, not judge how others are doing it. I felt the same way the first time I used the gym on base where I'm stationed 😂

I'm not sure if this is really advice, more like how my progression has been. I use a gym app to track my progress, and I started off on the machines to get accustomed to being there. I then moved to dumbbell workouts on top of the machines, so bench presses and front raises. I've then been there long enough to feel like using the barbell and smithing machines. You could go at the profession like that if you're nervous
