this is exactly why i learned i was autistic after years of seeing the same thought processes in others around me that i Actually Understood. these people were also autistic, but some, even my now current queerplatonic partner, didn't recognise me as autistic at first because i had utterly perfected my mask in a way that was Different to its own. i have straight up had a psychiatrist tell me to my face that i'm not autistic, without even screening me, but i have c-ptsd. make it make sense.... like not even screening me?? bro be fr
