How do you cope with insomnia?

Since I got trauma, even though I drunk a lot and had fun with friends, I come back to my home my brain still AWAKE. can’t just fall asleep. I need a button to shut down my brain. I take pill, but I still can’t stop thinking.

I stopped trying to escape from my thoughts and learned to accept them as a part of me. Then eventually despite thinking so much, I was able to still relax and eventually get to sleep. (edited)

I like to take a hot bath and a cup of chamomile tea, you can try meditation or exercise before bed 😃

Definitely see a trauma specialist and a sleep doctor before taking anyone's advice on here. With that said, I'm sure meditation will go a long way. Might not work at first, but it will definitely improve your mindset and regulation.
