What the hell is wrong with gym trainers?

A few weeks ago, I went to a personal trainer so he'd give me exercises for my bulging disk in my lower back. The session was very hard and painful for me. A day later he texted me " How do you feel?" I said that the training was very hard I felt I wanted to stop in the middle of it and go home and I don't know why I didn't do it eventually. He texted a laughing emoji and said "Your body probably knew it was good for it". I didn't find it funny. I'm in pain, it's hard for me to move, I can't hold down a training session, couldn't he have said "I'm really sorry you feel this way. I can try to find you easier exercises" or "I'm sorry, but unfortunately I can't give you easier exercises, maybe you should go the a physiotherapist who can help you, all the best"? Before him, I went to another trainer who couldn't stop telling insulting sarcastic jokes. WTF is wrong with personal trainers? Do they all have their heads stuck in their arses?

Well, yeah.... That's why they are "personal trainers" and "fitness consultants".. because getting a real job requires useful skills.

That guy took no pain no gain way too seriously, if it was me I'd go to someone who studied about my problem instead. Hope you get better 🙏.

My personal trainer did the same before, but that is also how to build muscles. Your supposed to be in pain after training well atleast it will happen sometimes not always. Personally I no longer use one I feel like it toke out alot of the fun of fitness. I had the opportunity for one to make a roster for me but meh. I rather just do my own thing it doesn't have to be perfect anyway. Simply put you break off muscles to make them come back stronger. (edited)

I'm a personal trainer. The fact that you have a bulging disc should have tipped him off to what your immediate needs are and possibly consulting the doctor that found the issue. From there, work with the doctors recommendation as to how much work can be done and safely build you up. I'm sorry you had that experience. Not every trainer is a trainer. Your going to have to feel them out. (edited)

Use a back brace, heat therapy and work on your postures, avoid activities that may aggravate the situation till you're better 😊
