When men cry
I've seen men cry in front of me, some are young, some are old and I don't think anything negative. It's ok to cry because that shows you are human. Crying in front of a woman doesn't make you weak, I wish people would stop regurgitating such nonsense.

I agree, but at the same time most men come to the conclusion of don't cry infront of others, especially women. through experiences... I know I did. Not saying it's true! It is good to cry, but I can't count the number of people, specifically women who have walked out of my life because I've shown vulnerability. Was it them at fault and not me? Yeah, probably. But my perspective for the longest time was cemented in that I was wrong. And I think a lot of guys need to know that it's okay. But it might be hard to convince some of them because of what they've experienced.

I feel like the opposite is what is rewarded. The toxic masculine men who deride others for being sissies are rewarded with popularity and many women(not saying all women, but a majority) So how are us men who are trying to be ourselves and human supposed to feel when we get nothing for it. "Nice guys finish last" has some truth to it.

The truth is though that research shows on a subconscious level that many women will find a man less attractive if they seem him cry. While yes, consciously there is no reason to feel that way, that underlying reality remains. Not saying that's an excuse for men to not cry, but, just saying that is something to consider. Still, a person should always be free to express any emotion at any time, undoubtedly.

People regurgitating that men should not cry in front of women are correct. Women do not respect most men as it is muchless one that cries and shows their true emotions they see them as weak and have no respect for them despite what your rebuttal will be and before you say I respect men that cry my response to that is it does not matter most women do not again despite what they say. What women say and what they do are two different things. So men keep your feelings to yourself or express them with other male friends NOT women. (edited)

I'm going to share something personal. Growing up I was mocked for being a crybaby. I would feel bad, cry, get bullied, cry more, get bullied more and cry from the shame of crying. I had no control over the faucet that were my eyes. Then I heard a song on sesame street saying it's alright to cry and it stuck with me. I didn't feel the shame anymore and after that I just rarely felt bad enough to cry. I think a lot of men just need permission to cry like I did.

The issue isn't that we don't cry. Every man I know has cried. Men aren't built to share those emotions with our spouses, or children. Because we are supposed to be a foundation of stoicism for those who we take care of. And when we show emotion to partners, they lose respect for us in that regard, and generally lose attraction to us. It's not even a conscious thing, but I believe that men abstain from sharing emotion because it's weaponised against us. I have had many a time where I open up emotionally to a woman, and then she loses interest/gets distant. Plus, woman cannot comprehend men's problems. We live intrinsically different lives. Woman and children are loved unconditionally, men are loved based on what they can provide. A man opening up to a woman about his issues is a mute point, because they cannot understand. At the end of the day, I still have to face all those things myself, better to open up to other men, or just process that emotion on my own.

This stigma around men crying/showing their emotions had a big part to play in my depression and breakdown, because I spent my whole life pretending I was doing fine when inside I was actually dying, now I hide nothing because I hit the bottom and lost absolutely everything

Being in touch with your emotions is a good thing. If you don't feel the urge to cry all that much, that's fine. But for those who do cry sometimes when they get really upset about something, that's perfectly okay. And if people will judge you for it, then they weren't worth it anyways.

As long as the woman has not fallen into the dystopia mindset that contradicts itself with self-destructive values. Yes, it is ok to show you are in fact a human with feelings 😭.
