I think generative ai is detrimental to anything creative, it learns by stealing others content and churns out uncanny Valley drivel at the user's whim. There should have been regulations made before these tools were made available to the public

Bout to nerd out hol up. AI is a greatly misunderstood and I say that as an artist. AI reaches far beyond its uses in creating "art". , this thing can save lives and millions of them, its used to detect cancers and other diseases, it can be used as a form of therapy for others, talking and validating their experiences and traumas. On the other hand, if unregulated it can be used to devalue creativity and the hard work of artists, it is essentially stealing already made art online and using it to create more art which is pretty much copyright and hurting many artists. It's also stunting people's abilities to learn and think for themselves, people should learn first then use AI as a means to a greater knowledge. If used later in life by a person capable of understanding the world or a topic already, it just elevates that otherwise someone learning from AI, gets limited and basic information. Like all things AI is a tool and it's not going away anytime soon, if ever. It just needs to be regulated and limited in its uses. Holy yap sorry yall.

it can be a useful tool, but the implications of self-evolving without stringent checks and internal regulations can be dangerous. we give freedom to access our most critical tools (Healthcare, weaponry, infrastructure items) and hope that the AI logic will keep human well-being as its top priority. humans are illogical creatures, a being of pure logic wouldn't want us around.

I try not to. The tickets which the AI support tools my org tries to use generate are always pretty worthless. Its got to get a lot better to actually be useful and its not there yet. Not in my industry anyway.
