Went to the mall today to occupy my mind, but made it worse by seeing all the couples/families together lol. Usually I can just distract myself with gaming but for now the wifi is out and I'm forced to realize I am completely and utterly alone. This is by far the worst feeling ever, and if anyone has any advice on how to remedy it, it would be much appreciated.

When going out to places.. don’t focus on the things you lack or wish you could have. 😅If you do, you’ll continue to find reassurances as to why you felt lonely in the first place. 😕 Instead approach it from a place of gratitude and appreciation 🙏🏽 Speak life into those beings you desire around you. You could also get involved in different types of causes in your community; community or volunteer work helps you find likeminded people while working towards a common goal! Yet at times we take our own space for granted. We think we need someone or something to make us feel whole.. to give meaning to our lives.. yet that’s far from the truth. 🫣 Or you could just get a small/medium sized pet to keep you company 😅

Hobbies are great. I love doing educational stuff that applies to communities I'm in, so for me that's things like queer history or panals on ethics in kink and nonmonogamy. Sometimes if the topic doubles as learning about the psychology and various methods of relationships I feel like I'm still making progress. Time with friends or figuring out small goals around self growth and how I could best approach them help. Being lonely is hard, but it does have ebb and flow. If nothing else works you can always remember the intensity of the feelings will ease off eventually and improve for a little while.

Personally, I just embraced it than fear it. The faster you get comfortable with it, then the faster it could change your outlook in life. Imo, the media you consumed influence you to feel a certain negative way to loneliness, but is it truly that bad? Some pros to it is that you have more time for yourself and less responsibilities and worries to deal with. You can treat yourself to nice things to compensate and enjoy what life brings to you. You can also learn and discover new things you haven't learn before to occupied your thoughts as well ad look forward to what the future may bring. For example, we all are currently supposedly living in the best time period with further and advancements in technology. Who knows sometime in this century where technology will evolve to replicate and satisfy the desire to overcome loneliness by providing a source of companionship, console and comfort whether it's virtual or bought into reality. Tldr: It's okay to envy others for what they have, but don't be fooled into thinking it's all sunshine and rainbows on the surface when what's hidden are also various problems and difficult situations to address as that's how life is for most of us imo. Appreciate the things and opportunities you have now whether it's alone and just take life a step at a time. Future you can deal with future issues that might be resolved with ever-growing technology advancements in AI and etc
