This one I'd like to ask of my fellow medical and healthcare workers, but anyone is free to answer. 😁 How do you handle and blow off stress from work or life events, especially if you have a difficult patient or person in your immediate life who is verbally and emotionally abusing you and tearing down your mental walls and self-esteem? Ordinarily, I'd go for coffee or tea with a friend if our schedules work out and let them tell me about their day. I also go swimming but the lake I prefer to frequent is still frozen over and the pools are heavily restricted. I always feel immediately calmer being near or in water personally, but post false-spring and winter is hard to get to an area to relax at with my current schedule qnd the way things are. 😕 I also bullet journal or clean and cook up a storm, but am open to other ideas or past times if anyone has something they enjoy. 😁 Thank you for your time. 💗 (edited)

Talking about it is surely a good start, but for situations which seem unavoidable and repetitive, active or silent meditations can alter the state of mind, but these techniques at some point induce change.... Games, alcohol etc. will silent the mind but change nothing ultimately. So change is the key here and how much we want or need it. I personally go for the active meditations.
