It's no less of a farce than our paper money. Which has no value other than in our minds. There is no tangible relation to currency anymore. A penny costs 2.1 cents to make. A nickel 8.52. The US government spent 381.2 million dollars segniorage last year. I will go further to clarify. There are 181.5 pennies in a pound of pennies. Let's say all pennies are from before 1982 and 90%ish copper. A pound of copper is currently $3.92. So the pennies aren't even worth half of the price that the copper they are made from to start with....... waste of time and effort and honestly crypto is the same just without that. Is all made up. Lol and we continue grazing as sheeple.

It's a great idea but needs to be field tested and mature more to be a serious financial currency. Right now it's mostly pump and dump schemes with everyone trying to get super rich without any effort. That speaks volumes to other issues at hand... But no currency so far has been free of tampering or manipulation. Cyrpto if proven to be stable and algorithmic could be viable as a countrywide or global currency as it could be made to be impossible to manipulate after issued. Bottom line, it's not long term viable yet, but most likely will be in the future. Right now its an overvaluation speculative gambling casino, same as the stock market, hence the crash

The more people that take part in a digital currency economy, the more secure the network and your investment. (When programmed and deployed correctly)

Well, the powers that be seem to like it as CBDCs (central banking digital credits). Those are programmable however, and can be turned on or off and cant be saved. Crypto on the otherhand is more akin to money but heavly reliant on power grid and network. Thus an inferior form of money. Cash is king...always.
