"Acceptance" it's a tricky thing. It's like a powerful tool, but it's a constant battle, too. You know? You gotta embrace the whole of yourself, the good, the bad, the messy bits... It's about seeing the world as it is, all the light and dark stuff, not pretending it's something it's not. Letting go of things you can't change, focusing on what's right in front of you. It's hard, though. It takes real courage to let go of that anger, that resentment, and to stop wishing things were different. But when you finally do, it's like a weight lifts off your shoulders. You feel lighter, freer, and a whole lot more at peace.

Funny this question was asked today specifically (the timing). Today I learned that not all of my dreams will come true, in this case, due to things being outside of my control. Long story short, I’ve been trying for over a year and there’s been constant obstacles in the process - even after persevering. Something tells me that perhaps this isn’t the path I should go on. Life isn't anything like TV or movie scripts. It's messy. There are major setbacks and you might have to restart over and over. You may want to power down your "console" or throw the "controller" against the wall in rage, but neither action is going to change things and will only make things harder in the long term. So practice self-love first and foremost. Forgive yourself. Eat well. Keep yourself and your space clean; it will be good for your mental health. Every day is a battle won!
