It's lonely when you're working to better yourself. You cant find your perfect person, and if you do they may or may not be ready for you (or vice versa). Old friends and family disappear, people you thought you'd never lose....it starts to get quiet. And eventually you realize...that's okay. This place is okay. It may not be what you wanted, but it may be what you needed. 🥺

This has been so poetically written.🎶 I would also want to say that looking for the perfect person is overrated. If we are wise, we will be working on ourselves for the rest of our lives. If we are brave, we acknowledge that we may never be "ready" but that shouldnt stop us. I think the key is letting someone who shares a complementary life path bump into you and both parties commit to working on themselves as a team.

I honestly can Agree for about 90% of this post .... Unless you Lose someone close to you after being diagnosed with stage 4 lenohoma cancer .... Doctor tells you and rest of the Fam he has maybe 2-12 weeks to live....... You lose him at 9weeks. Definitely not what I wanted Def not what I NEEDED. my Tió taught me everything from treating all women Like a princess, never to harm people. Have Faith day N and out. So I saw on your profile you're sober, which implies that you actively work on your sobriety? As someone who works on my emotional and spiritual life for those reasons, you're right, it gets lonely. But then you get to the point when you're comfortable alone. And people don't like that. Culture has told us we shouldn't be able to live without our partner or our family or what we thought were our closest friends. But we totally can. And have to if those people are toxic.
