Is this normal?

keep thinking bout dark things almost everyday...thinking about ending myself..but the only thing that's stopping me is my daughter..im becoming more and more of a husk of my former self. I know i need to keep going but is it normal to feel this depressed almost everyday?

Hi Helmi, I'm sorry that you feel this way. I want you to know it isn't normal but it also isnt uncommon. I personally understand this feeling and thought it was impossible to overcome but what helped me the most wasn't thinking about my loved ones as a reason to not end it but rather thinking of myself and why I feel depressed. Of course you have your daughter but until you truly know why you have dark thoughts and begin to see why you want to live every day for yourself, such thoughts won't easily disappear. Things like therapy help, talk to a family member and take things one day at a time- you've got this!

No, it's not "normal", its depression. You are suffering depression. I think it would be best for you to seek some kind of help, (if you are not able to go to therapy maybe you can talk with a friend or family) I hope you can get better 💞

Sometimes this happens, specially to mothers cause we lose our identity from giving too much of ourselves to others. Discover yourself again, get to know the new you. Find that fire in yourself and have new interests and passions in your life. It’s really hard at first, but sometimes we can only be our own hero.

No it's not☹️. Keep holding onto that thought about your daughter. It has kept you going this long,so hold on tight. You can talk to somebody,keeping things bottled in isn't healthy. Also, keep busy, the more you're alone with your thoughts, the darker they get. I hope you feel better soon.
