Honestly, how do you cope with missing your ex?

Any advice helps, a wave of depression hit me today ;( it’s been almost 2 months.

First thing I did was get rid of all the memories, i.e. photos, call logs, messages, videos, etc. BASICALLY anything that can (and it will) remind you of them. Second, (now I know this sounds super cliché but it works) keep yourself preoccupied. Whether it be work, hanging out with friends, going to the gym, studying, etc. Keep that mind and body busy. It's going to take time, for sure, but it works.

1.Well never lose the value of yourself that initially was intriguing to your ex. 2. Rekindle passion for yourself, turn time into growth, not regret. 3. Remember the fact there are enough people in the world that are going through, or, have gotten through the same emotional heartache, and have reestablished themselves and could be in line at a Cafe standing right next to you...so remember, your "ex" isn't everywhere in the world where someone else is. 4. Be thankful that you do feel the pain of everything that comes with loving, because it takes someone who actually feels to not be the ex that is definitely going to be someone else's burden, feel with the heartache, and remember to breathe, your energy needs compromise with moving forward, don't worry, the path ahead is full of new beginnings, and looking back is like watching a movie that your ex simply loved and you always thought the book was better.

Understand why the separation had to happen, only then could you go and try to recover, try finding hobbies and talk to others that are willing to listen. Find people who are willing to help with building a foundation, who will help you with finding a healthy social life, stay with the ones you care about, put your full attention to them, as they are still there and won't be there forever, it will take time but as time progresses, you should get better as long as you don't hold onto the past, to live in the present, even when it still hurts, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep walking, but don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it still.

Same and I am not really coping just getting by day to day. This place is helping some. He is still giving me the lie of love and trying to convince me this is the way it should be. I have finally stopped thinking he is wrong. I still miss him but if he can walk away and be so selfish. We (me and the kids) don't need him

I find ways to distract myself from the hurt also there's an app called 7 cups you might like that has people listen to you and relate. Getting lucky and finding someone else that really relates with you and makes you feel good can help too.

Take your time, cry, cry a little more. I don't know how long you were in that relationship, or how deeply you felt it, it's up to that. In my case, it didn't work dating around after, although it helped me get by, I just couldn't get over it and still had to deal with the issue even years after because I blocked my feelings. I guess that's why they say you shouldn't date for a while after, but everyone is different.

It’s been 4 months for me. You can’t put a time limit or expectation on this, everyone heals at their own pace. Even if you recovered fast previously this is a different breakup and a different time in your life. The best advice I can give is to allow yourself to grieve. Being depressed is horrible but healthy, and it means that you are getting through the different stages of grief and that you are slowly healing.

1.)Pray about it.Sometimes we feel like nobody gets how you feel but guess what talk it out with your creator...Trust me it works. 2.)Heal.Healing has no formular nor time limit.You can take a year to heal, a month...3months...But take your time.Feel the hurt, feel the pain, don't avoid it...Accept that he's not there anymore...Love yourself enough not to put yourself in that situation anymore(reason why you broke up)Wake up with words of affirmations...(You are strong, beautiful, worthy) 3.)Keep yourself Distracted.Either with hobbies, friends, work, go to the gym, go to the park...create new routines like pick a day where you take yourself out on a date and try out new meals, or go to the salon and pamper yourself, get a new nail set, do yoga...something to put yourself out of that "thinking of him" Lastly...The universe has a way of bringing people back if they truly deserve you and if they don't deserve you the universe will keep them away from you. DON'T CHASE ATTRACT.WHAT BELONGS TO YOU WILL SIMPLY FIND YOU.

When someone leaves your life, those exits are rarely made equally. Some... are beautiful, poetic, satisfying. Others... abrupt, unfair, ugly. But most... are unremarkable, unintentional, clumsy.... so many things can happen in life that cannot be taken back. So I stand, look forward, face the future rather than the past. There are things I still need to do. Sometimes doing so is hard. The holidays are hardest for me. It becomes easy to remember the good, and ignore the bad. But I remember that it wouldn't be fair to myself to be with someone who didn't want to be with me. Things need to have endings, despite the pain sometimes, so that a new thing, better thing can take its place. The only thing I can control in this world is myself. So I work on bettering myself. I learn to cook, learn to take care of myself better, grow more resilient, learn to love myself more, so that if that opportunity comes to fall in love again I can recognize it, and take hold of it with confidence.

I just talk to them as a grown adult, make a clean break up with proper understanding and in good terms. Getting closure really helps to move on faster because it let's you and your ex acknowledge the end of the relationship's chapter. Whether it is some unfinished business, grudges, mistakes, or even a leftover toothbrush, whatever it is if it makes either of you still feel uneasy, it's best to work on those emotions to resolve the underlying depression issue. It takes time and definitely two to tango, but you'll get there in good time given the effort. :)

Reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason. There’s definitely reasons I’ve found out years later that a relationship didn’t work with an ex and I’m thankful that I’m single right now.

Don’t worry you’ll get over him it might take a few months more but it doesn’t last longer than a year and you can speed it up by going out on dates with good guys let them take you to dinner have a nice conversations and then you’ll forget about the other one also in the meantime find new hobbies treat your self well Shopping nice music spend time with friends

If there is anything you couldn't do or that you felt missing in your life during that relationship it may help to focus on that. For example if there was a lot of drama in the relationship it may help to enjoy not having to worry about that anymore and having a more peaceful life.
