I honestly don't think that overpopulation is such a big problem because as we have been told on numerous occasions the entire population of the world could fit in one small part of the world no it's not overpopulation it's limited resources it's the fact that the divide between the poor and the rich is so vast that no one in the lowest rugs of poverty will ever leave those and it's genetic and it's been that way for hundreds of years not to mention accommodating all of the wrong types of people even knowing we are qualified to do other matters but we focus on the most pointless of endeavors there is so many more important things then overpopulation the world is dying and it's not because there is more people on the planet that is for certain

No, I don't think so. The problem isn't overpopulation. Our planet has enough space and resources to handle double, triple the current population. The real issue is supply chains. We make enough food daily to eradicate world hunger permanently, but various issues get in the way of the supply chains: corporate greed, ineffective government programs, food waste, wars, and more. We know numerous self sustainable techniques for food growth, power distribution, water collection, construction, and infrastructure. But because they aren't profitable to someone's bottom line, we don't use them. There are countries like Russia and China that actually struggle with sustaining their population. Overpopulation is, at least in my opinion, a red herring to distract from the real issues we have as the governing species of our planet.

In my opinion, it is more important to regulate the correct division of food for everyone and food waste, from harvesting, through transportation, distribution centers and the food that always remains in restaurants and cafeterias, fresh and good food that ends up going to the trash.

Can't help but notice a lot of comments are focusing exclusively on whether human overpopulation is a big deal *to humans*βspoiler alert: it isβ, and are leaving out the fact the world is currently going through its 6th mass extinction. More species of birds, insects, plants, fish, mammals, reptiles have been wiped off the surface of Earth in the last 40 years than ever before, and that is a direct result of human activity, overpopulation, way of life, and systematic destruction and overtaking of entire ecosystems. We aren't the only mattering species on this planet. We're absolutely gluttonous, and it's killing everything. (edited)

It should be. I mean it is related... I would say pollution is more important but probably if there's a decrease in population there would be a decrease in pollution as well.

There's no such thing as overpopulation. That's a globalist tactic to make people think we are the problem. There's plenty of room on the planet for even more people than we have now. Most countries now have birth rates that are well below replacement numbers. There's going to be a problem with a population crunch because the future generations will be significantly smaller and that's going to cause a severe implosion of our social safety nets like social security medicare, medicaid, and others because the currently working population is paying the benefits for the people collecting those entitlements.
