I wanna be a shut in again 🤷‍♀️

So the times I've met people irl before my physical health went down, I kinda realize how much personality I lack and how boring I am because ngl I just feel like an empty shell and having social anxiety doesn't help 😭 I really feel bad and I feel like I wasn't really met to have a social life and wanting to go back to being a shut in. Mind as well since my physical health's going down too yeet 😃

You need to be in a state of mind where you're comfortable. Extroverts and neurotypical people won't have patience or time letting you get there oftentime This is my experience, hope it can be valuable

I don't think you lack personality and character. You just been around bad people who are judgemental and honestly they don't care about you. I think you just have a certain personality, you need to learn who you are you're self. Myself Im different then most people. I have my triggers and how I communicate with strangers and people I know. I think you shouldn't think that honestly. We are all different. You just have social barriers and you need to learn them. Thank you for being brave enough to talk about this huge issue you face. I know it's only on the Internet and not face-to-face with anyone, but it nonetheless takes a lot to be able to talk about things which you face, especially when such issues are particularly personal. With that being said, after developing my thoughts and taking some inspiration from other comments here: the first thing I have to say is that you should be patient with meeting people. It's difficult to socialize when you're a former shut-in as well as a mega introvert. Socializing can be healthy, particularly when done with the right people. It will take time to find such healthy connections, so don't rush to build a huge social circle. Pace yourself at a rate you're okay with. Put yourself first, and find people over time. In order to socialize effectively, you should be sure that you're in a good state of mind to do so: make sure to not have any major problems outside of socializing take up space in your head (such as conflict with people in your life, worries about the future, etc.). Try to focus your conscience on what you like about life, and make observations about others and talk about them. Ask questions you wonder, give opinions, say anything else. You are bound to get results doing this. :) Just be patient with yourself -- if what you say isn't pleasing the other person, or they're otherwise not showing any interest, then let them go and move on to a new person. Eventually, you'll shift on someone who hits the spot! With experience, you'll develop your skills in taking to other people, and you'll one day be able to express yourself in easygoing, fun ways. And you'll even realize yourself how interesting you are. :) I hope this advice helps you. I'm sorry for the length, but I hope it's of use to you.
