I have found that for some days, weeks or even months I have neglected myself. I don't seem to focus on keeping my mental and physical health well. Sorry to hear Angie and I wish you the best at resolving this. Wish there was an easy fix but the good news is that you've recognised the problem which in itself is the hardest step. My dad once said to me that you must be the one to look after yourself. If it means taking a step back from family so you have your "own time", then thats what you should do. You are not here in this life simply to please or serve other's needs. This is probably a less radical version of Lysa's comment! It got to a point that I needed a therapist to help. In hindsight, should have seen a therapist much earlier! Thought it was being "weak" and "unmanly" but it really helped. Changing the mildest: these were some things that helped me; 1) Writing down negative thoughts. I told myself negative thoughts over and over. Then with every negative thought, I forced myself to write something positive about myself. 2) Couch to 5k running. I chose running as an exercise to take up and I downloaded an app to help me with this (friend recommended to help you stick with it). The running forced my diet, sleep pattern and to drink water. Choose a sport right for you and download an app to help you achieve it. Appreciate none of this may apply to you but thought I would share my experience in case it helps. I believe in you to do the right thing Angie. 😁
