It's like a black hole. You can't measure it directly, only by how much stuff gets sucked into it.

That's the thing, value is subjective, love is a feeling. The value that someone puts on a feeling such as love is based one's own perception.

Directionally/ordinally --> healthy relationships should have a positive impact on your personal growth, as well as on the positive impact that you have on others around you --> while we can't put quantifiable numbers on it... we can definitely tell if the relationship is giving us positive or negative value... for example, unhealthy toxic relationships will always leave us more depleted...while healthy relationships should pour into us and help us feel encouraged and supported And the test of this consistent behavior towards each other... not how much someone says they love you... but how they treat you consistently (edited)

The question should not be about it can't be measured...( It actually is always measured by everyone with one's own feelings and thoughts)... It is about everyone has different ruler towards this measurement... Which means the lack of a standard unit in the measurement of "love"... Since we know it is challenging to commonly agree by most people to have a standardized framework of the measurement in this issue, again this doesn't mean it can't... In theory everything can be measured as long as we agreed on the unit and the standard or criteria... And the current situation is obviously in a way of variety.. which makes life both interesting for some people and frustrating for some people and ups and downs... Thus at the end of the day, the value depends on you, it's a open question, need not to be specified about "how" just enjoy life! 😁 (edited)

I mean... honestly it's entirely subjective. I guess it's by the care given between partners, and by the concern for everyone involved.

By simply experiencing it in every capacity🌀it comes in stages, like everything, and it’s never ending, so enjoy each stage as if it’s the first and the value will come naturally with the experience itself rather than you looking for some type of value to attain or attach to it🫶

i used to ask this question before... but as we get older, sometimes we just realize that we got no choice but to accept what love we can get from a relationship without any measures or conditions. regrless if we love and care the most and still get the worst outcome.

Love can be measured. It is measured by words and acts of selflessness, honesty, trust, communication, loyality, obedience of the shared boundaries, putting forth your energy into the relationship even when you are low. Each of these things add value to the relationship the more you have the stronger the love and the less you have the weaker the love is for those who don't receive as much.

I don't think measuring love is what puts value on a relationship. I think the good times and positives put value on a relationship. It's 2am though I'm probably speaking rubbish -what do I know.

Love is more like a boolean, it's either true or false, You can make it apparent in your actions or you can just be as a respectful person. It can be the same love, but the way you express it can help make a relationship more valuable. I have love and respect for everyone and everything, though my self-respect and self worth have me determine what sort of a role someone may be able to get in my life. I don't have conditions for love, but the way you can have a place in my life has its conditions to protect myself and to be able to stay the person I want to be. 🤗❤️

You don't have to measure something to value it. You can value your family without measuring its worth. You can value the earth without measuring it. You value your body without setting a measure to. Also a relationship is more than love even though love may be a major component of a "loving" relationship.

I don't think love can be measured but the value of a relationship can. it's dependent on how much you put in and how much your partner puts in. If you put in all the effort and they don't then maybe the relationship isn't worth it. It takes 2 to have a relationship

If love is there between two people committing themselves to each other it cannot be measured. It's between them and God. Nothing can be measured if God is involved.

Love itself can be measured, who Said it can't? It's like the saying, if they wanted to, they would, they'd call, they'd worry, they'd stay loyal. Love isn't just some invisible thing that people bat away like a Disease, you can't measure Love in those who don't love tho

Well. It can be measured my friend. Just not with a ruler. And no, this isn't one of those speeches about how wonderful and amazing love is. And yet, it is. Truth be told, when we speak of measurement we immediately assume we need a ruler or a clock. Maybe a Geiger counter or some sort of device in general. Also, when we speak of value we expect to see a price tag on the valuable, a receipt at the end of a transaction. But, if we're intelligent, we can also recognize concepts like honesty, greed, loyalty, and of course, love. All of these concepts are not measurable in the common sense. Nor they can be bought or sold. People may decide to give them up or away as they wish but the concepts themselves are not valuable. Instead, it is out actions that can be measured and can be bought or sold. So, the question then becomes how can these concepts be measured? How would anyone value love if they can't buy it? We must admit, as men and women (and everyone else, should you feel the need to be included as something other than a male/female human) that, viewing the world as an infinite cycle of materialistic transactions is, hands down, a very, very narrow view of the world and life itself. Ask yourselves this: how much do you value your own life? How much is it worth it? If you can find a price, stop reading, you have already found your answer. But, if you can't even begin to fathom a monetary value, then, maybe, the answer lies not in the physical world, but in the spiritual one. Pay attention, I said spiritual, not religious. Spirituality has no religion. But religion is a tool we humans invented to guide us through the spiritual side of life. Immerse yourselves in the spiritual side of things and you'll find that, love, loyalty, kindness, humility, responsibility, etc. They all have a value in a currency that no man can own, but everyone can earn. And you'll only earn as much as you're willing to give to the rest of the world. And greed? And unfaithfulness? And dishonesty? Well... They're for free. That's why they're easy to find in those that want to give so little. That care so little. So you see? We can measure it, just not with a ruler. Now you tell me. How much would you be willing to give to a relationship? What would you give? And how much would that be worth? Would it be worth anything? To me it is. (edited)
