Every habit starts w/ small steps, which makes it managable & not (too) overwelming. Beginning is the 1st & hardest step. Have a (big) end goal, for example: you have, as new year's resolution, reading (more) books this year. I'd recommend the 4W1H method. 1. What? Topic. Choose something that you like/love to read about or genre (romance, autobiography, mental health ect.). 2. How? Format. Depending on ur lifestyle: digital or analog (sceen/e-books or paper books). U can find a lot of free e-books online. A more budget/eco-friendly place to find paper books would be the library or 2nd hand. 3. Where? Place. Do you want to have a special place that you only/mostly want to use to read? Like a cozy sofa, ur bed, at the desk. Or on the road, during ur commute. 4. Who? You & possible company. Maybe u want a reading buddy or choose a book club? 5. When? Frequency & deadline. Maybe you have a specific time/day that you plan on reading at? Take time out of ur day to read. What is/are ur deadline(s), at what date do you plan to read x amount book(s)? (My added W: 6. Why? Reason. Do you want to broaden you knowledge? To prove something to yourself or others? Why?) You make yourself a metaphorical symbol of where you wish to go for me when it came to my creativity and my love of writing I started with my inspirations I read many different types of books in many different genres when I discovered authors that I could relate to I started writing in their style and then I planted my metaphorical acorn and slowly but surely with a lot of nursing and a lot of efforts I grew that acorn into a Sapling of creativity after a while the Sapling grew and grew and matured until it became a tree of pure unbridled creativity and that was my first published work

There's two types of dream goals but one is a trap: 'Fairytale goal' that you can expect on welfare people (not all) or lazy people (not all) - that is a goal without a realistic plan. Then there's an 'realistic' goal one that, has a realistic plan. A person mind is the power of many super computers. So how do these work is the 'fairytale' goal, expections of people (no realistic plan) are: either daydreaming on autopilot, or have little energy to bother the day - so to speak. So may lazy at school or be late at work or careless at work. The 'realistic' goal person will see relative (1+1=sum metaphor). Say for example a person that sees work, as a weekly income (or fortnite or month): that accumulates. While not being distracted. Nothing is as mentally strong as a dedicated person (in whichever situation) - so be a human calculator. Disclaimer: some 'Fairytale' goals may not be fairytale, if you didn't come with a realistic plan - but till you do then it is a 'fairytale'. (edited)

It starts by being honest about yourself and taking accountability for your situation. Even if it’s not your fault, in some aspects it can be, so own it. Then you have to step back, be alone, talk to the one or two people that know you best and search for what and who you are. From there, you have to change some things about your routine and mindset and make good habits. None of these things are easy, they take some time, and here’s something that I heard that helped me decide to push into the unknown: β€œHow much Spanish do I know currently? Not a lot. If I started learning Spanish today, how much will I know in three months? MORE THAN I KNOW TODAY!” So just start, put in effort, and you’ll realize later on that you’re better just for trying.
