To a certain extent, HOWEVER, I feel like it's a very slippery slope for people who just want to be racist and derogatory. I think people's overall facial features (like a "soft face" vs a "sharp face") can be indicative of their personality traits, sort of, but that's about it. The whole subject feels too close to racism and eugenics.

I don't really believe in physiognomy, I think it's more important to get to know someone's personality and character rather than making assumptions based on their looks.

So basically let me get this straight I'm using the idea of someone's physical being in order to express how their personality may appear so it's basically like those people that use the idea of someone is big and muscular with a lot of tattoos and a lot of beard to say that there are scary and threatening person no I do not believe physical characteristics can really describe what the person is internally

After reading a TLDR summary - thanks @Lairtes, I feel lazy tonight 😆... Is the question really supposed to be "Do you believe in physiognomy?"? At the risk of sounding like a smart@ss, isn't that kind of like asking "Do you believe in people being able to see colours?" Isn't reading facial expressions a basic part of human interaction? Maybe I should have looked up the definition myself lol (edited)

Yes. Believing in physiognomy is like accepting that nature exists. Humans by default are expressive creatures. We have muscles, blood vessels in the whole of our face which make it possible to use facial expressions. So in a relationship or just even talking, expressions are really important. Many times, the words alone are not enough to convey the message across with the same degree of depth / effect as we want without the expressions. I belive this is also the origins of the phrase "love at first sight", however it is not everything. Also physiognomy ≠ beauty.

While there’s no single pathway to falling in love, one possible reaction happens this way: After an initial spark with a person, the body may produce high levels of testosterone and estrogen, which drive intense feelings of lust. The brain then produces elevated levels of dopamine, which plays a role in how people experience pleasure, and norepinephrine, resulting in a faster heart rate, restlessness and loss of appetite — all signs of attraction. As people fall deeper into love, the brain floods again — this time with oxytocin, released when people are physically affectionate, and vasopressin, which generates the desire to protect one’s partner — creating feelings of attachment.

Ok. Like many that have commented. Agree, can't judge a book by its cover. Then again , I know some people that literally show their emotions on their faces. They say they are so happy but their face shows a different story. Those people don't even realise it. So it depends on the person and how they react to something.
