There was a recent blackout this year where I live. So it was a quiet moment, where it was just us talking, sharing, and telling each other dumb little things. Little did we know not all the members of my family would live to see 2023, so I am grateful I was forced to just stop the hussle, and spent quality time with them. After all, no amount of money can ever turn the clock back.

That time my grandpa made me tear up. He was in the ICU for a while, then got transferred over to a nursing home. He has ten kids, and a bunch of grandkids; so for sure, there were always people visiting him. I worked weird hours at an amusement park and didn't really get to visit him. When i finally did, he said to me: "Eli, where have you been? I've been looking for you!" The guilt 😭 (edited)

My 10 siblings and I were at the table eating dinner when I was young. And my mother was in her usual bitchy mood. My dad picked up a glob of his mashed potatoes and flung it at her. He missed (on purpose) and that just set her off even more. So when she got away from the table and went to the kitchen to get a towel to ckdan it up, complaining the entire time, Dad followed her in and grabbed her close and started to dance in the kitchen. She couldn't help but smile. It seemed like a scene from a movie. Maybe that example of how a man should be, has set my expectations too high

It was probably my university graduation party. My family and I were invited to dinner event hosted by my department and it was nice celebrating both my achievement and appreciate family support who got me there.

I'm a middle child of seven, at the time I was 15 and the 12 and up siblings decided to go to a haunted house in Omaha for Halloween. It was called Mystery Manor and I thought I wouldn't get scared that bad. Well were going through the 4 floors and I don't remember the 3rd floor because I blacked out. My brother's and sisters said I ripped a dresser from the wall and flung it at the people scaring me! Luckily no one got hurt, but I literally have no memory of this, just of what they told me. It makes us bust out laughing everytime we retell the story, because it was something that never happened before. From then on around October we're always reminded of my she-hulk moment. 😂😂😂

None. All the memories I had with my exes got ruined later in when they screwed me over. A shame because I actually had some decent memories with them. As for my family, kinda hard when for the most part of your life you grew up secluded from them seeing as you didn't like them/genuinely piss you off. Honestly, perhaps my only good memories I shared with my family are with my grandparents. My grandmother who was always there for me, and probably the most lovable woman one could meet and my grandfather who took care of everyone. The man who, as a child then, was responsible for making me enjoy going to the beach were now, as an adult, I hate going to the beach.

I just got back to home, my parents' house, after a year in a secluded woodsy area on highland. At home, things in their area were covered in more dust and stains than usual/it was when I moved out. Came to realize my parents' eyes might go much less brighter/clearer than it was, so they couldn't see dusts and stains to remove/clean it. Their aging was too fast that my pace of maturity hasn't caught up with yet.
