I think it depends on the person. But for me, they have to compliment me (not complete me). And they’d have to be someone I could trust with my life, because that’s what marriage is about.. or supposed to be about (spending the rest of your life with them). What are they like when they’re angry? Are they willing to go to therapy? Do they keep themself accountable for their actions? Will they love me less depending on how my body or personality changes? What about with money, religion, politics… Do they expect me to be a servant or are they an equal partner? … I think those are good indicators that I’ve found someone I want to spend my life with.
