Chivalry is very close to death, but..

Alot of people have the idea that chivalry in men is dead. Well, maybe most men, but not in yours truly. In my opinion, it's absolutely the most important action you can do to show respect and care in a relationship, especially if love is involved. If you arent able to open her door for her in a rainstorm, or take 10 minutes to actually write out a poem for her, or even cook and clean every other night, you dont love her. Love is like riding a bike. After you are patient and learn, it's all second nature. From my own experience, after 2 short months of learning how to love her, I was writing her poems and making her meals just because i wanted too, because she meant that much to me. That's love, if you ask me. Not arguing over nothing, lack of communication, hurting their feelings out of anger, cheatin. Its TOXIC. Relationships are you and your partner being the toughest team you can be. Its supposed to be you guys vs the world, not each other. I lost her in the end. I pray none of you ever experience losing someone that you love that much. Because when I fell in love with her, I fell for more than just her eyes and smile. I fell in love with her voice, the way she slept, her sneezes, her attitude, just, her. Watching her walk away, having to move on and fall out of love, it was the hardest thing I've ever had to experience. But I got on drugs and let them ruin me, make me toxic. I deserved it. Because once I picked the drugs before her, it wasn't love anymore. I guess my point is, chivalry is alive, it's up to you to figure out how to show it. Cause it could end in the blink of an eye, like mine did. If my words spoke to you in anyway, then I encourage you, be chivalrous and pick the flower, be gracious that she chose you, and never forget to always try to show how much you love her. The biggest feelings can be given through the smallest of gestures. :) (edited)
